I ordered cotton candy popcorn for a gift basket. It looks delicious, was not tasted yet. 6 bags of popcorn were in my order, happily 4 bags were filled completely, sadly 2 bags were scantily filled. I do Not see smashed kernels in the scantily filled bags, so they were not completely filled at the store. This is too bad, since this popcorn is so expensive. See picture below.

Thanks for your review! What you're seeing in those two bags is what unfortunately happens to the softer, butterfly style popcorn that we use for our savory flavors, as opposed to the harder mushroom shaped popcorn of our candied flavors, which you see in the four top row bags in your picture. Butterfly popcorn suffers from settling because of its irregular shapes - being moved around in transit causes the popcorn to start to fill the tiny empty spaces that were there before. Think about it like the before and after of a puzzle - the area the puzzle takes up becomes smaller once all the pieces are fit together. This doesn't happen as much to the candied popcorn because along with its stronger base structure, it also has a hard candy coating, so it stays stacked and tight. We always fill our bags as much as we can in the store, but if we pack the savory popcorn too tightly, it starts to break into pieces, so it's a delicate balance to achieve. When we received the bag of cotton candy we noticed that the bag was opened which caused the popcorn to be dry or more stale tasting.
We are terribly sorry to hear of this happening, of the 6 bags and 1 bursting open - had we known the day it was received we could have overnight-ed a fresh replacement. Since the event passed we are pleased to have processed a full refund. Thank you for the photos & letting us know what happened so that we could remedy ASAP!!
