BUBS Godis and Candy People from Sweden — the Skalle and Goody lines, several of which are certified vegan. This is the category that went viral on TikTok as "Swedish candy," and the texture really is different: firmer, chewier and less sweet than American gummies.

How pricing works here
There are two models in this collection, and they behave completely differently:
- Single imported bars — one size, no bulk option. Roughly $1.29 to $3.49 for the British bars (Bananko $1.29, Cadbury Dairy Milk $1.99, Flake and Crunchie $3.29), around $4.19–$4.99 for Werther's and the Milka 100g bars, $5.79–$6.29 for Ritter Sport, and up to about $9 for the Kinder multipacks.
- Bulk bagged candy — two size tiers, typically with a real per-pound discount at the larger size. Matlow's fruit drops run $10.99 for 1.5 lb or $59.99 for 5.75 lb; Licorice Allsorts run $4.99 for 8 oz or $70.99 for 6.6 lb.
Why European chocolate tastes different
This is the most common question we get about this collection, and there's a real answer. European milk chocolate generally contains a higher proportion of cocoa solids and milk, and uses different milk processing than American chocolate. American manufacturers also commonly use a process that produces butyric acid, which gives US chocolate a slightly tangy note that Europeans often notice immediately and dislike. Neither is objectively better — but they are genuinely different products, and whichever one you grew up with is likely to taste "right" to you.
It's also why Cadbury Dairy Milk made in England tastes noticeably different from Cadbury-branded chocolate manufactured in the United States. The recipes and the factories aren't the same.

Is this real imported Cadbury from England?
Yes — the Cadbury bars in this collection are made in England, and their packaging says so. That's a meaningful difference from Cadbury-branded chocolate produced in the United States, which uses a different recipe.
What is Swedish candy and why is it different?
Swedish candy is firmer and chewier than American gummies, less sweet, and often more sour. It's traditionally sold as "lördagsgodis" — pick-and-mix bought by weight on Saturdays. We carry BUBS Godis and Candy People, the two brands most responsible for the recent surge of interest.
Do you have vegan European candy?

What is Bananko?
A Croatian bar made by Kras: a light banana-flavored foam coated in chocolate. It's soft, unlike anything American, and one of the most enthusiastically re-ordered items we stock. $1.29 a bar.
Is European candy kosher?
Some of it. The Swizzels Matlow items in this collection are certified Pareve. The Cadbury, Kinder, Milka and Ritter Sport bars we stock do not carry a kosher certification — please don't assume they do. Browse certified kosher candy for confirmed options.
Does European chocolate survive shipping in summer?
It's chocolate, so heat is the enemy. For summer orders, especially to hot climates, add ice packs ($2.00) to your cart. The licorice and gummy items in this collection travel much better than the bars.
